Mr. and Mrs. Brian Keith Bennett of Statesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Katelyn Elizabeth Bennett of Statesboro, to Austin Lamont Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen O'Neal Snyder of Statesboro.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Bennett of Stilson and Elizabeth Tarpley of Statesboro and is the great-granddaughter of Allene Williams and the late L.M. Williams of Statesboro. Miss Bennett is a graduate of Statesboro High School and will graduate from Georgia Southern University in May of 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood education.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Foreman of Samson, Alabama; and Mr. and Mrs. Danny Snyder of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and is the great-grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Obie D. Lee of Samson, Alabama; the late Mr. and Mrs. Bud Foreman of Samson; the late Mr. and Mrs. Erbon Childers of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ferman Snyder of Hot Springs. Mr. Davis is a graduate of Statesboro High School and will graduate from Ogeechee Technical College in May with a welding and joining technology certificate. He is employed as a welder/fabricator at Quality Industrial Mechanical (QIM) in Claxton.

The couple is planning to wed on May 11, 2019, at 5 p.m. at The Barn at Olde Home Place.
