Restaurant Kitchen Inspections - Feb. 21-March 28

The following are among the food service establishments inspected in February and March by the Bulloch County Health Department. The department scores on a 100-percentile scale. Kitchens are inspected at least every four months and are required to post their score sheets in public. The score and selected comments from health inspectors are included in each report. Feb. 21
Georgia's Bed and Breakfast, 123 South Main Street Score: 91

       No single-use hand drying aids. Store cleaners separate. Store all utensils turned in the same direction in drawers. Inspector: Misty McKanna.
La'Berry Frozen Yogurt Cafe, 1100 Brampton Avenue Suite G Score: 94
       Improper thawing methods; yogurt must be thawed under cool running water or in cooler. Do not thaw or do any food prep in 3-compartment sink. Inspector: Marlin Thomas.
Fordham's Farmhouse Restaurant, 23657 Highway 80 East Score: 85
       No sanitizer in cloth buckets and ice scoop stored in dirty water. Food containers holding raw chicken sat on floor then to prep table then to walk-in. Unsanitized cloths used. Keep utensil bins clean. Do not store single-use items under exposed plumbing. Discard damaged utensils and plastic containers and tops. Need test strips for ammonia sanitizer.
