Statesboro High, Ware Co. split, Game 3 today

WAYCROSS — Statesboro High School's baseball team split a region playoff doubleheader with Ware County on Friday to force Game 3 at 4 p.m. today at Ware County High School.
    Ware County won the first game, 3-2. Statesboro's Jackson Ware hit a two-run home run.
    Statesboro High won the second game, 15-0, in three innings. Tyler Brown allowed one hit to earn the win.
    Ben Roberts was 3-for-3 for the Blue Devils. Ben Saunders and Quantee Huff each were 2-for-2. Kendrick Thompson, Justin Mee and Colin Chance each were 2-for-3.
    Statesboro must win today to advance to the Class AAAA state playoffs.
