    EVANS — Statesboro High School's boys soccer team defeated Lakeside-Evans, 2-1, in a Region 2B-AAAA game Friday.
    The Blue Devils (3-3, 3-1) got goals from Degammari Matthews and Pablo Martinez. Hector Angeles had an assist. Goalkeeper Jeremy Webster made eight saves.

SEB beats SHS in junior-varsity baseball
    Southeast Bulloch High School beat Statesboro High School, 14-8, in a junior-varsity baseball game Friday.

BA sweeps Trinity Christian at tennis
    Bulloch Academy swept Trinity Christian School of Dublin in Region 4-AAA tennis action Thursday at Forest Heights Country Club.
     The Gator girls blanked the Lady Crusaders, 6-0, while the Bulloch boys nipped TCA, 3-2.
      In girls’ singles action, Ally Cheshire beat Lauren Rawlins, 8-2, Meghan Barber blanked Brittany Soles, 8-0, and Anna Mallard downed Elizabeth Brack, 8-3. In doubles action, McKenzie Webb and Caitlin Barber downed Emma Boles and Amelia Gay, 8-1, Claire Hiller and Lyndsey Wasdin whipped Taylor Shriver and Madison Tanner, 8-0, and Abigail Smith and Hannah Dasher won, 6-0.
    In boys’ singles action, Cody Lanier beat Daniel Alligood, 8-0, John Ellis Howell lost to Elijah Baggett, 7-8, and Robbie O’Sullivan defeated Cleve Warnock, 8-2. In boys’ doubles action, each team defaulted one match to the other.
