Augusta Prep beat Bulloch Academy, 61-54, in a GISA Region 4-AAA girls basketball game Tuesday night in Augusta.
    The Lady Gators (17-3, 3-2) were paced by Hailey Burke's 17 points and Anna Newton's 13 points.
    Augusta Prep (14-4, 3-2) was led by Amanda Murphy's game-high 26 points.
    BA's next game is at 6:30 p.m. Friday at home against Edmund Burke.

Lady Blue Devils defeat Greenbrier
    Statesboro High beat Greenbrier, 60-42, in a Region 2B-AAAA girls basketball game Tuesday night in Evans.
    Alisia Jenkins scored a game-high 19 points, Sierra Kirkland had 15 points and Tanice Johnson added 10 points for the Lady Blue Devils (17-1, 4-0).
    Greenbrier (8-9, 2-2) was led by Kara Thompson, who scored 16 points.

Metter boys crush Bryan County
    Metter crushed Bryan County, 72-47, in a Region 3-A boys basketball game Tuesday night at Metter.
    James Gunn scored 19 points and Trent Thomas added 17 points to power the Tigers (8-7, 3-1).
    Bryan County (2-14, 0-4) was led by Cameron Register, who scored 20 points.

Statesboro boys hammer Greenbrier
    Statesboro High defeated Greenbrier, 44-26, in a Region 2B-AAAA boys basketball game Tuesday night in Evans.
    Zaquavian Smith scored 18 points and Jaquell Harper had 10 points for the Blue Devils (8-11, 2-2).
    In junior-varsity action, Statesboro beat Greenbrier, 46-40.
