CAMILLA — Claxton High School's girls basketball team lost, 67-59, to Mitchell County High School in a Class A state playoff second-round game Wednesday at Mitchell County High School.
Claxton, which finished its season with a 22-7 record, was led by Polly Murray, who scored 29 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and had six steals to go with six assists. Jazmine Price added 14 points.
Mitchell County (17-12) led, 31-27, at halftime. Claxton pulled within five points with a minute and a half to play.
