    Will Rushing, Andrew Howell and Jake Hagan each scored touchdowns as Bulloch Academy blasted Robert Toombs 26-6 in junior varsity football action Thursday.
    Rushing scored on a 54-yard run, Howell had a 38-yard scamper and Hagan bulled over from six yards out. Rushing led the BA offense with 76 yards rushing while Howell had 60 yards. Lee Waters converted two, two-point conversions and Howell added one. The Gator defense contributed the other two points, tackling a RTCA runner in the end zone for a safety.
    Waters, Dylan Stuckey and Hunter Perry led the BA defense, notching six tackles each. Hagan had five and both Joshua Bishop and Hayden Haynes added four.
    Bulloch (5-1) will travel to Dublin on Oct. 19 to take on Trinity Christian School for the East Georgia Middle School championship.

SEB JV tops Effingham
    The Southeast Bulloch junior varsity Yellow Jackets defeated Effingham County JV 38-23 Thursday in a shootout.
    Aaron Jones, Antonio McMillon and Blake Price scored rushing touchdowns, and quarterback Cam Duncan completed touchdown passes to Perry O'Conner (2) and Justin Odum.
    The SEB defense forced two fumble recoveries and an interception.

Lady Eagles back in action
    Coming off a 2-1 win at Elon on Sunday, the Georgia Southern women’s soccer team will look to keep momentum rolling with a pair of Southern Conference matchups on the road this weekend.
    The Eagles will face Western Carolina first on today at 6 p.m. before heading east to Appalachian State on Sunday at 2 p.m.
