With Southeast Bulloch High School's girls soccer team's region schedule in full tilt, every game has to be taken seriously.
The Yellow Jackets' Netanya Suarez has certainly taken notice.
Suarez, a junior forward, found the back of the net four times in SEB's 9-0 victory over Dodge County last week.
“Everything just kind of came into place,” Suarez said. “It’s good to score a goal anytime. Every once in a while, the ball keeps finding you and you keep getting good chances to score. I have to thank my teammates for that.”
Suarez and her Yellow Jackets teammates have their sights set on securing a good seed in the upcoming state playoffs. A win over archrival Screven County last week put Southeast Bulloch in sole possession of second place in Region 3-AA.
Suarez’s four-goal outburst kept the Yellow Jackets there in their dominating win over Dodge County.
“I think that our team is at the right place right now,” Suarez said. “We know that the games are getting more important. I think that we’re doing the right things more often. We’re doing the things we need to do to win.”
