William A. “Hank” Dutton, age 71, died Thursday, February 7, 2019 at his residence under the care of hospice. The Fulton County native had lived in Statesboro the past 27 years. Mr. Dutton was a retired construction superintendent and a member of the U.S. Navy.
Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Sylvia Dutton of Statesboro; two sons, William Lawson of Pembroke Pines, Fla., and William A. Dutton, Jr. of Oxford, Ga.; one daughter, Melissa Dutton of Kernersville, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Spencer Dutton, Addison Dutton, Ansley Dutton, Jeremiah Brown, Jacob Brown, Harmony Lawson and Casey Lawson; five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 9, 2019, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.
Hodges-Moore Funeral Home of Statesboro is in charge of arrangements.
