SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Mrs. Arline White passed peacefully Sunday, February 7, 2021, at Candler Hospital, Savannah, Ga. The Chatham County native resided in Cleveland, Ohio, for many years before returning to Savannah, Georgia.
She was a member of the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, Cleveland, Ohio, where she was dedicated in many church capacities.
Mrs. White was employed with the University Hospital of Cleveland, Ohio, as a nursing assistant upon her retirement.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Tommie and Hattie Mae Hill Cooper; sisters, Sarah Jane Cooper and Carless C. Lawyer.
She is survived by her daughter, Delores Cooper, Los Angeles, Calif.; her grandchildren, Tanis Matthews, Los Angles, Calif.; and Torian Bailey, Richmond, Va.; sisters, Tommie Lee Walker and Daisy Wesley, both of Savannah, Ga.; and Essie Baldwin, Cleveland, Ohio; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A walk-through viewing will be held for Mrs. Arline White Friday, February 19, 2021, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the chapel of Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
The funeral service for Mrs. White will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2021, in the Ben Samuel Hill Memorial Chapel of Hill's Mortuary with the Rev. Ronnie S. Tremble, presiding, and the Rev. S. Maurice Hill, eulogist. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social-distancing will be enforced at the funeral home and graveside services. We ask that you adhere to all CDC guidelines.
