GUYTON -- Mr. Johnny “Doolittle” Cleland, 51, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Lackey Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Cleland was born on March 31, 1967, in Savannah to John Howard Cleland and Alma “Ruth” Dukes. He was the owner and operator of his trucking company, Cleland Trucking, LLC, for 23 years.
Mr. Cleland enjoyed grilling, fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles and driving his truck, but most of all, spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Howard Cleland; son, Jessie Calloway; brother, Michael Cleland; sister, Diane Cleland; and brother-in-law, Tommie Raffield.
Survivors include his loving wife of 17 years, Sammie “Sam” Cleland; mother, Alma “Ruth” Dukes of Pembroke; son, Christopher Calloway, and his wife, Candace, of Ellabell; daughter, Jessica Calloway of Groveland; brother-in-law, Bruce Raffield, and his wife, Shannon, of Barnwell, S.C.; godson, Gaston Vance, and his wife, Jessica, of Groveland; seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 20, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Brother David Feldkamp officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Baptist Church Cemetery.
