Gary R. Teter, age 66, of Statesboro, Georgia, passed from this life on January 25, 2019, after a brief illness.
He was born in Tipton, Indiana, on October 31, 1952, to Lawrence and Rosalee Teter.
Gary was a graduate from Indiana University with a BA in English. He taught at Appling County High School in Baxley, Georgia, and Jeff Davis High School in Hazlehurst, Georgia. He later completed his MA degree and sixth-year specialist degree in school psychology.
Before his retirement, he had worked in various counties throughout Southeast Georgia.
Gary is survived by his wife of 38 years, Pamela Sellers Teter; and his son, Zachary Teter.
In honor of Gary’s wishes, no funeral service will be held.
Arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
