Up With People: Meet the cast, part 1

About 100 members of the Up With People cast touring North America in 2015 will be in Statesboro for the week of Aug. 24-31. While in Bulloch County, the cast will participate in various local service projects and live with local host families. And on Friday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m., Up with People will perform a variety show at Statesboro High School for the public.
    In the weeks leading up to the show, the Herald will introduce you to some of the cast members, who hail from around the US and the world, each week.

 Lika Facio, 18 — Madrid, Spain
        Lika is from Madrid in Spain. She graduated from high school in June 2014 and has been traveling with Up with People since January 2015. She loves singing and traveling while creating an impact in each community she through the volunteer work projects in which she participates. After Up with People, she would like to start her modern languages, culture and communication studies.

Aaron Hawke, 22 — Elyria, Ohio
       
Aaron is from Elyria, Ohio. He graduated from college this past May, and this is his first time traveling in Up with People. He is excited for the opportunity to travel and is planning to go to medical school after this semester. In his free time, Aaron enjoys taking care of his cat, Cooper, and dog, Kona. He is also the second-tallest in the cast!

Arndt Saalfeldt, 23 — Rødekro, Denmark
       
Arndt recently graduated from university, where he studied music. This is his first time traveling in Up with People and he is excited to be playing in the show's band. Arndt has been enjoying the culture of the United States and is excited to come to the South to represent Up with People's 50th Anniversary! In his free time, he likes to play guitar. At 6 feet 3 inches, he is also the tallest in the cast!
