Two women used a man's debit card number to enjoy a shopping spree, police said.  They charged food, phone card minutes and clothing  to his account, but it caught up with them and landed them in jail.
The male victim reported to police June 6 that someone used his debit card number at several Statesboro locations without his permission, said Statesboro Police Capt. L. C. Williams.
Det. Keith Holloway began investigating and learned that two women, Latovia Hines, 27, North College Street, and Nina Hines, 19, Barn Mobile Home Park,  used the victim's debit card number to buy clothing from Cutie Pie Fashions, food from Domino's Pizza, Holiday Pizza and Loco's Deli and Pub.
Further investigation revealed the suspects also used the debit card number to purchase prepaid cell phone minutes at Hargray Wireless and "purchased several pairs of shoes from Eastbay," Williams said.
The investigation led the arrest of Nina Hines and Latovia Hines Tuesday, he said.  Police charged each with several counts of financial transaction card fraud, then took them to the Bulloch County Jail, where they both later posted bond, according to jail records.
