Two men involved in a rollover accident Sunday were arrested not only for charges stemming from the accident, but on outstanding warrants from other counties as well.
Brothers Thomas Jefferson Terrell, 30, and Shannon Joseph Terrell, 33, both of Kessler Court, Garden City, were traveling north on Jim Futch Road around 6 p.m. Sunday near McCoy Road, with Thomas Jefferson Terrell driving, according to reports by Georgia State Patrol Post 45 Trooper First-Class J. Priest.
Thomas Terrell lost control of the vehicle after leaving the roadway onto the east shoulder, then swerving back onto the roadway, over-correcting, spinning and overturning, he said in preliminary reports.
Both Thomas and Shannon Terrell left the scene, but were captured shortly afterward, reports said.
Priest charged Shannon Terrell  with obstruction, public intoxication and open container.  Thomas Terrell was charged with open container,  DUI (refused test), leaving the scene of an accident, failure to maintain lane, driving too fast for  conditions, driving with a suspended license, and obstruction.
Both men also had outstanding warrants in other counties, Priest discovered.
According to records, Shannon Terrell is wanted in Effingham County for habitual violator DUI, obstruction, failure to report an accident and seat belt violations. He is also wanted in Chatham County for harassing phone call charges.
Thomas Terrell is wanted in Chatham County for three contempt of court charges, according to Chatham County Jail records.
Neither men were seriously injured in the accident and were taken to the Bulloch County Jail.
