The lobby areas of the three Synovus bank branches in Statesboro are now available for appointments only as a precautionary measure for customers and employees, said Chad Wiggins, market president for Synovus in Statesboro.

However, Wiggins said the drive-thru windows are open for regular business hours at the downtown Statesboro and the Lovett Road (Mall area) branches. Customers can make individual appointments at all three branches, Wiggins said. The Synovus branch on Brampton Avenue in the Market District does not have drive-thru banking, but customers can make individual appointments.

“We think this is the responsible thing to do at this time,” Wiggins said. “We want to ensure our customers and employees stay safe, but also continue to serve the banking needs of the public.”

Customers are welcome to make individual appointments if they need to access a safe deposit box or meet directly with a banker or loan officer.

“There are some things you have to do in person and we want to make that as convenient as possible for our customers,” Wiggins said. “These are certainly different times and we want to make sure we do our part to keep all of us safe.”

Here are the phone numbers to make appointments and drive-thru hours for each location.
