Statesboro police detectives arrested a man Tuesday who was accused in November of molesting a 14-year-old girl.
Jacques Dominique McCray, 33, of Park Place Apartments, faces charges of aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, enticing a child for indecent purposes and statutory rape, said Statesboro police Cpl. Justin Samples.
Det. Kevin Wadley is leading the investigation.
Samples said the aggravated child molestation charge, as opposed to a child molestation charge, is because the alleged incident involved sodomy.
The charge of aggravated sodomy indicates the encounter was not consensual, he said.
The incident reportedly took place at a Park Place Apartments location.
McCray was taken to the Bulloch County Jail, where he remains without bond, according to jail records.
