Steve Rogers appointed to GB Bank Advisory Board

GB Bank Group Inc., parent company of Statesboro Bank on Savannah Avenue, recently named Steve Rogers to the bank’s Advisory Board. Rogers joins Becky Livingston and John Lee, current members of the Advisory Board.  

“We are very pleased to have Steve join our holding company advisory board,” said GB Bank Group President/CEO Tracy M. Durrence.

He is a native of Bellville who lives in Statesboro with his wife, Dr. Lisa Stiffler Rogers.

Rogers has a degree in Finance from Georgia Southern College and spent 18 years with Savannah Foods (later Imperial Sugar), leaving as the corporate director of Specialty Products.  He worked for more than four years at Crider Foods as national accounts manager and is now managing the family farming operation in Tattnall County.

Rogers currently serves as president of the Board of Governors for Pinewood Christian Academy and is a member of the local advisory board for Staple Cotton, Inc. He and his wife Lisa have two children, Garlon, 17 and Payton, 15.  He is a member of First Baptist Church of Claxton where he serves on the Deacon Board.
