... I'm a resident of Portal. ... My neighbors were robbed ... and a gun held to a ... to a 15-year-old. I wanna know why the Bulloch County Sheriff's Department is not tryin' to protect these people. ... What's to say ... they're not gon' protect us if we call 'em? ... And you wonder why ... we don't trust Bulloch County Sheriff Department.

National Prayer day has been happening for years. Now they say it's unconstitutional. Does our Constitution not say we have freedom of religion? Takin' away National Prayer Day is takin' away not one but two of our rights, freedom of religion and of speech. No religion agrees with another, but no one ... should want the other to give up their worship to pa ... to pacify others. If you are atheist, Christian, Mormon, Jewish, Catholic, et cetera, you should let other beliefs worship as they wish. Would you want others to take away your rights to worship or to not worship?

If a person ... is interested in living in this great country, then they should be willing to be legal citizens of the United States.

I want to thank again the kind lady who found my grandson's wallet in the mall parking lot and turned it in to Game Stop. It's very uplifting to know that there are so ... there are still honest people in this world. Thank you, dear. I really appreciate it.

I have a question. How is it with all this Keep Bulloch and Statesboro beautiful, can we allow ... the old Franklin's restaurant in the state of repair ... that it is and nuthin' bein' done or said about it? I think it is a very bad eyesore on the corner of U.S. 301, 25 and 80. Just what ... do travelers through our city think?

The 28th amendment, ay? ... If you ever read the Constitution, you would know there are only ... 27 amendments. If more of us would read the Constitution, we would have a greater understanding of how Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama are destroying our Constitution. With the current government, we are not safe in our own country.

Let's keep the Portal gym open. ... Let's not tear down ... a usable gym. ... It could be used for a boys and girls club ... or extra prac ... or ... a facility for practice sessions.

Yes, the Democrats might have had control of congress the last two years of the Bush administration. But because of Bush's home ownership society, Wall Street and the banks had to be ... bailed out to keep us out of a catastrophic ... 'strophic depression. Don't blame the Democrats for the Republicans' ... ruinin' this economy.

I'm thinkin' ... Arizona did a good job with this immigration bill. They did what they needed and had to do. More power to 'em! Federal government won't even back 'em up. That's really lookin' out for the American people, isn't is? I think Georgia should adopt the same immigration law. Can you imagine how many jobs that would create in Georgia for Georgia people? Can you imagine how much free health care that would eliminate, which would cut our health care costs? You go, Arizona!

I'm respondin' to the caller that said the Republican Party is tryin' to end ... racism in the country. I almost fell outta the ... chair laughin' when I read that. Please. I can't take too much of that.

I wish they would put in the Statesboro Herald when the seat law belt will go in effect in pickups in Georgia. They say it's goin' in affect, but they don't tell us when.

Do you really think it's healthy to have all those dogs ... walkin' around fresh market? ... I know they're on a leash ... but it's still ... I think pretty nasty and I won't be goin' back. And I don't think the health department would approve of it actually.

This is for city council. Instead of raising the mileage rate for all property owners - and many of us are retired on fixed incomes -- why not increase the sales tax on everything so then everyone, including all the renters, would pay their fair share? I think that would be a better idea than penalizing the property owners all the time.
