INCIDENTS

➤ Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office

▲ PLANTER’S ROW — A deputy spotted a car with its door open. When he could not locate the owner, he closed the door.

▲ WOLF PEN LANE — Deputies responded to a domestic dispute involving simple battery and an injured person. They contacted the Department of Family and Children Services, and the case remains under investigation.

▲ DRY BRANCH VILLAGE — A woman was cutting grass when she fell ill and asked a friend to take her to a hospital. When she returned, she said she found her lawn mower in another person’s yard, and that a juvenile had used it to cut their grass. The lawn mower did not work after that and she wanted the juvenile’s guardian to pay for repairs. The guardian denied the child used her lawn mower, but said he saw other boys using it and said the complainant had given it to someone else to cut their grass. 

▲ HAWKSHAW CIRCLE — A woman reported the theft of a push lawn mower from beside her carport.

▲ ALLENWOOD DRIVE — A woman admitted to having taken a cell phone from a man during a domestic dispute, while the man tried calling 911.


➤ Statesboro Police Department

▲ ARCH WAY — A woman reported an incident involving terroristic threats and acts. Specific details were not available in publicly released reports.

▲ EAST MAIN STREET — Officers responded to a dispute that was verbal in nature.

▲ ENMARKET/NORTHSIDE DRIVE WEST — A clerk said a woman left without paying for $5 worth of unspecified consumable goods.

▲ OLE TIMES — A handgun (.9 mm) found in a bathroom was returned to the owner.


➤ Georgia Southern University Police

▲ Officers issued three traffic citations and two traffic warnings and assisted one motorist Thursday.

▲ PLANT DRIVE — A person was judicially referred to university authorities for discipline over a traffic stop for stop sign violation, as well as a drug complaint. The person was not criminally charged.
