▲ BONNETTE ROAD — Deputies handled a call about an ungovernable child.

▲ A.O. SMITH ROAD — A woman said a man who was banned from her property came back “to steal more” from her. She did not report anything missing.

▲ BURNSED ROAD — A man said someone knocked on his door and rang the doorbell several times, but left before he could answer. He later discovered a window screen had been cut.

▲ BLACK CREEK CHURCH ROAD — Deputies recovered a stolen dirt bike. The resident of the property where it was found said it had been brought there weeks ago. Reports did not indicate whether someone was charged in the theft.

➤ Statesboro Police Department

▲ WAL-MART SUPERCENTER — Someone was taken to jail after trying to shoplift tortillas, chips, air freshener, clothes, seasonings, sausage, other grocery items and a plastic tote, all worth about $200.

In a separate case, a person tried to shoplift $209 worth of miscellaneous consumable items but was not apprehended, although they were identified. The store recovered the items.

In yet another case, offenders were cited for shoplifting $326 worth of merchandise.

▲ BELK — A person who tried to shoplift a $40 shirt was served with a criminal trespass warning.

In another case, two suspects were charged with shoplifting $520 worth of clothing.

▲ SOUTH MAIN STREET — Officers responded to an aggravated assault case in which a driver reportedly struck someone with a vehicle.

▲ LESTER/VALLEY ROADS — A Facebook post prompted an argument between two people.

▲ SOUTH EDGEWOOD DRIVE — A woman told police she received a package she considered a threat, but she refused to elaborate as to why she felt that way. Reports did not list the package contents.

▲ LANIER DRIVE — A man said someone threatened his nephew with serious bodily harm.

▲ Officers issued no traffic citations and no traffic warnings but assisted five motorists. 

▲ CENTENNIAL PLACE — Someone was arrested on drug and ID violation charges.
