▲ OAKFIELD DRIVE — A man was arrested on charges of battery and terroristic threats.

▲ LEE AVENUE — A woman reported a laptop computer stolen.


➤ Statesboro Police Department 

▲ DEBBIE DRIVE — A school employee reported a violation of school policy.

▲ ST. CHARLES PLACE — Police seized two bottles of prescription medicine after someone reported seeing “contraband” on a kitchen counter.

▲ LANIER DRIVE — A woman told police she was involved in an argument via text with a person who was at her home without consent.

▲ CHANDLER ROAD — Police arrested an intoxicated person on simple battery charges after a fight was reported near The Blue Room.

▲ EAST OLLIFF STREET — A woman reported a domestic dispute with her girlfriend. Officers issued a warrant for arrest on battery charges.

▲ EAST GRADY STREET — An arrest warrant for an offender was issued for battery and other charges after police investigated a reported domestic violence case.

▲ MARTIN LUTHER KING DRIVE — A man was arrested for battery after punching another man in the mouth, causing visible injuries.

▲ WENDY’S/FAIR ROAD — A woman was arrested after an officer saw her try to strike another person. She was charged with disorderly conduct.

▲ BRAMPTON AVENUE — Officers responded to a reportedly physical domestic argument. The complainant was given information on seeking warrants.


➤ Georgia State Patrol Post 45

▲ Last week, troopers responded to 20 crashes with 10 reported injuries. 

▲ Troopers also arrested seven drivers on DUI charges and issued 11 citations and three warnings for seatbelt violations, one citation and one warning for child restraint violations, and 20 citations and 29 warnings for speeding.


➤ Georgia Southern University Police 

▲ Officers issued two traffic citations and no traffic warnings and assisted five motorists.

▲ SOUTHERN COURTYARD — On two occasions, someone reported a criminal trespass incident.

In a separate incident, someone was judicially referred to university authorities for discipline over drug and alcohol violations. The person was not criminally charged.

▲ BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES BUILDING — Officers investigated reports of a suspicious person.

▲ CENTENNIAL PLACE — Officers responded to a report of criminal trespass.

▲ RECREATIONAL ACTIVITY CENTER PARKING — Someone reported a criminal trespass incident.

▲ UNIVERSITY VILLAS — Someone was arrested on charges of underage possession of alcohol and possession of a fraudulent ID.
