▲ SHERIFF’S OFFICE LOBBY — A Bulloch County resident reported that when he  received a credit card with his  name on it in the mail from the Brylane Home company, he cut the card up and threw it in the trash. But he later received a billing statement with an amount due of more than $460 when he had never had an account with Brylane Home, the resident told a deputy. The resident also reported he contacted the company, which told him that he would not be responsible for the bill and that the company will investigate.

▲ OPTIM ORTHOPEDICS — A woman reported that she saw a dark gray SUV pull up next to her vehicle while it was parked in Optim’s parking lot. After a man got out of the SUV, went around to the passenger-side door of her vehicle and then returned to the SUV and left, she found the window of her vehicle broken, “still intact” but “visibly damaged,” a  deputy wrote.

▲ WOODLAND DRIVE — A report was filed about a woman possibly being stalked by people she knows.

▲ NORTHSIDE DRIVE EAST — An officer reported that a man walking along the center line of the highway Saturday evening refused to get out of the road, resisted being removed and was arrested for obstruction.

▲ BELK — Store loss prevention personnel reported detaining a woman attempting to shoplift $95 worth of clothing items, including a “fleece” and bra. The items were recovered, and police cited the suspect and released her with a criminal trespass notice to stay out of the store.

▲ CHURCH STREET — A woman reported Monday that the father of her children deprived her of some property and assaulted her while she was trying to call 911. He was charged with simple battery (family violence) and criminal trespass, an officer reported.

▲ Officers issued three traffic citations and two traffic warnings and assisted three motorists.

▲ NESSMITH-LANE CONFERENCE CENTER — A report of items stolen from a vehicle was turned over to the department’s criminal investigation unit.

▲ SOUTHERN PINES — Two complaints of drug activity were reported, and one resulted in a campus judicial referral.

▲ FREEDOM’S LANDING — An incident listed as simple battery resulted in judicial referral.

▲ AGENCY ASSISTS — University officers assisted the Statesboro Police Department at Lanier Drive and the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office at Pointer Road on separate calls.
