Police report - 2-20-15; A woman was arrested for shoplifting $135 worth of panties, girl's clothes

    THE LODGE APARTMENTS — A 44-year-old man found lying on the ground around 7 a.m. Sunday was taken to the hospital for treatment of an undisclosed illness.
    CINDY LANE — Police responded around 3:30 p.m. Sunday to a domestic argument. The victim left the scene and was advised of remedies to the issue.
    JOINER-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME — Someone told police around 11:51 p.m. Wednesday that the business has received “an exorbitant amount” of phone calls from a person who “had no business with them,” according to reports.
    WAL-MART SUPERCENTER — A woman was arrested around 1 p.m. Wednesday after shoplifting about $135 worth of panties and girls’ clothes.

    Troy Donavan Hart Jr., 26, Betsy Brannon Drive, Thomson — probation violation.

    Raphel Jhirmere Taylor, 25, James Street — no driver’s license, giving false information, marijuana possession, window tint violation, possession of a drug-related object.
    Jerrit Lovon Mincey, 25, West Jones Avenue — cocaine possession with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of a drug-related object.
    Christopher Shane Roberts, 25, Parker Road, Sylvania — DUI drugs, possession of a drug-related object, marijuana possession, theft by shoplifting, original container required for prescription medications, possession of schedule II and IV controlled substances.
    Brandy Ann Roberts, 26, Chance Road, Millen — methamphetamine possession with intent to distribute, hindering the apprehension of a criminal.
    Jeffrey Wayne McBride, 50, Georgia Highway 119, Brooklet — possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
    Benjamin Allen Roberts, 30, JW Lane Road, Brooklet — parole violation (Arkansas), possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

    BURKHALTER ROAD — Deputies responded around 5:20 p.m. Wednesday to a call about a woman sitting on the side of the road in a folding chair. She told deputies she did not want to return to her home (a mental health facility) and asked to go to the hospital. Deputies arranged for her to be transported and informed the home.
    REEDY BRANCH ROAD — A woman called deputies around 12:05 a.m. Thursday after her neighbor asked her to do so. He was carrying a gun she told deputies was a 9 mm, but the man told deputies it was a .22-caliber rifle. He asked her husband to walk outside with him and said someone was trying to steal his truck. Deputies said the man appeared disoriented, and they found several empty beer cans in his home. He told them he saw an “ugly, light-skinned black male” trying to steal the truck, and that he “saw the whites of his eyes” in the dark. The man refused several offers to take him to a hospital for evaluation, and the gun, which belonged to someone else he knew, was temporarily seized for safety reasons.

    Officers issued 18 traffic citations Wednesday.
    Officers issued 19 traffic warnings and assisted two motorists Wednesday.
