A man said he was hunting on private property when two men accused him of damaging their drone. They told him for $1,500 “there would be no further action.”

▲ CYPRESS LAKE MOBILE HOME PARK – A woman said her son invited his girlfriend, her mother and two other children to stay at her home. When she tried to wake the son’s girlfriend to help clean up the home, an argument ensued with the girlfriend damaging property. The case was referred to magistrate court.

▲ WINDING WAY – Someone reported terroristic threats and acts. Deputies are investigating. Reports did not list additional details,

▲ MILL BRANCH CLUB ROAD – Someone reported a burglary and theft. Reports did not list items taken.

▲ OLD RIVER ROAD NORTH – A child who ran away refused to return to her guardians, fought deputies and “defeated hand restraints” in attempts to get away.  She was taken to jail, where Department of Juvenile Justice caseworkers decided not to hold her and returned her to the guardians.

▲ PATRIOT INN – A woman accused a man of stealing a $75 lottery ticket, but when deputies searched him they did not find the ticket.

▲ OAKRIDGE LAND – A woman found a cigarette butt on her property and told deputies neither she nit her husband smoked. She suspected someone trespassed.

▲ MARSHALL STREET – A man reported a TV and two PlayStations with controllers stolen from his home.

▲ JOHN DANIEL LANE – A man said he was hunting on private property when two men accused him of damaging their drone. They told him for $1,500 “there would be no further action.” The complainant said the men were drinking and he did not damage the drone, so he left and called deputies.

▲ SID SANDERS PLACE – Deputies spoke with a woman who said a man choked and grabbed her. She showed no visible injuries.

▲ CEDARWOOD ACRES MOBILE HOME PARK – A woman said her son fell through the floor of a home she rented and she had spoken to an attorney. She said she has had problems with the landlord not repairing issues with the home.

▲ VISTA CIRCLE – A woman said her husband came to her residence uninvited and made her feel threatened.

▲ EAST MAIN STREET – A woman told police she wanted to file harassment charges against a man who refused to drive is taxi faster and has alled her a “pretty black thing” in the past. The officer told the woman nothing the man had done was a criminal offense and she needed to complain to his employer, not police.

▲ NORTHSIDE DRIVE EAST (2000 block) – Someone shoplifted $190 worth of clothing.

▲ THOMAS STREET/NORTHSIDE DRIVE EAST – A person caught swapping seats with a driver during a traffic stop was charged with obstruction.

▲ SOUTH MAIN STREET – A man said a woman got into his vehicle, and when she got out, he discovered money missing.
▲ WAL-MART SUPERCENTER – A person was arrested for shoplifting over $700 worth of tools and electronics.

 

➤ Georgia Southern University Police

▲ Officers issued no traffic citations and no traffic warnings and assisted no motorists Monday.

▲ PAULSON STADIUM – Someone reported a theft.

▲ SOUTHERN PINES – Officers responded to a reported theft.

In a separate incident someone made a drug complaint.
