Police report - 12-21-14; Euthanized at animal shelter eight dogs and nine cats.

ARRESTS
    Statesboro Police, Bulloch County Sheriff, Georgia Southern University and Georgia State Patrol arrests made Wednesday through Sunday will be reported Tuesday.

Bulloch Sheriff’s Office
    Carlos Martinez-Ramirez, 33, Martin Luther King Jr. Drive — DUI (refused test), obstruction, driving without a license on person, public indecency, failure to yield.
    Johnathan Tobias Newkirk, 29, Shuman Road — armed robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, sale of marijuana, sale of cocaine, manufacturing, distributing or possession of a controlled substance, failure to register as a convicted sex offender, obstruction.

INCIDENTS
    Statesboro Police, Bulloch County Sheriff, Georgia Southern University and Georgia State Patrol incidents occurring Wednesday through Sunday will be reported Tuesday.

Bulloch Sheriff’s Office
    DRY BRANCH VILLAGE — (Statesboro) A man told deputies around 4 p.m. Thursday that tools and a gun were stolen during a burglary.
    NORTH JACKSON ROAD — (Statesboro) A man called for help around 11:40 p.m. Thursday because a vicious dog would not allow him to leave his house.

Bulloch County Animal Shelter
    The shelter reported the following activity during the week of Dec. 8-14:
    Surrendered by citizens — three dogs and four cats from rural county areas; one  dog from City of Statesboro.
    Collected by officers — three dogs and four cats from rural county areas; one dog from City of Statesboro.
    Adopted from shelter — 10 dogs.
    Reclaimed by owners — two dogs and a cat.
    Died at shelter — one dog.
    Euthanized — eight dogs and nine cats.
    Fees collected — $ 710.
