Police report - 1-29-15; A man told police someone stole three petrified pine logs.

    Shalanda Shatoria Little, 21, Georgia Highway 171, Edge Hill — suspended license.

    EAST JONES AVENUE —  A man reported finding a burgundy 1985 Buick Special, “parked and abandoned,” around 3:30 p.m. Monday. The car had been reported stolen from Burke County on Jan. 1. The car was towed to a storage yard and police are investigating the case.
    MORRIS HEIGHTS APARTMENTS — A man suffered a “visibly bloody swollen eye” after a woman punched him around 12:30 a.m. Monday. Warrants are to be taken out for her arrest, reports state.
    BERMUDA RUN ROAD — In a report filed around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, a woman said that between 2 and 7 p.m. Jan. 18 someone stole her debit card and charged more than $900 in fraudulent purchases. A suspect was listed on reports.
    EAST MAIN STREET — A man told police around 5 p.m. Tuesday that another male threatened him with bodily harm.
    THE SIR SHOP — A man stole a $179 North Face jacket by shoving it underneath his clothing around 10:40 a.m. Tuesday. An employee tried to stop him, but the man kept walking.
    L.A. WATERS FURNITURE — (Lovett Road) A man complained to police around 8:20 p.m. Tuesday about possible ordinance violations. An investigations revealed evidence suggesting homeless persons are sleeping beside the store, disconnecting power to the heating system and leaving debris from a dumpster scattered, making the location unsightly.
    GROVE CIRCLE — A man told police around 8 p.m. Tuesday that between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. that day, someone stole three petrified pine logs worth $2,500.

    None reported Tuesday.
    BANKS DAIRY ROAD — A woman reported a juvenile boy messing around 6:30 p.m. Monday. He had argued with his parents and was later found after he had been hiding in the woods.

    Officers issued two traffic citations Tuesday. 
    Officers issued 10 traffic warnings and assisted five motorists Tuesday.
