April 1 - Statesboro Police Arrests Raphel Jhirmere Taylor, 20, James Street possession of cocaine

Statesboro Police Arrests
    Raphel Jhirmere Taylor, 20, James Street – possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
    Dontavus M. Hamilton, 23, Overland Street – improper stopping, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
    Dominique White, 18, Jewel Drive – simple battery.
    Raymond Cone, 61, Eason Street – wanted person, probation violation, driving with a suspended license.
    Brian Edward Kelly, 27, South Main Street – battery.
Bulloch Sheriff's Arrests
    Tuesday and Wednesday arrests will be published Friday.
Georgia State Patrol Arrests
    Troopers issued five traffic violation citations Tuesday.
Georgia Southern University Arrests
    Officers issued 18 traffic citations Tuesday.
Statesboro Police Incidents
    HOWARD JOHNSON’S HOTEL – Police responded to a domestic dispute.
    WAL—MART – A woman purchased a box of hair bleach at the store and went home to find it contained a razor blade and a straw.
    WILDWOOD VILLAS – A man said someone stole a GPS unit and an iPod from his vehicle.
    CARVER STREET – A woman said her boyfriend hit her on the face and pushed her. Police arrested the man on simple battery charges.
    NEW BEGINNINGS CENTER – A member took a collection of aluminum cans meant for a fundraiser, but returned them when police investigated.
    GARDEN DISTRICT– Police responded to a call about shots fired and spoke with a witness who said she saw a large crowd scatter when gunfire erupted. Police found no offenders but did see where bullets damaged a stairwell and found shell casings.
    Also, someone reported a burglary where someone took a duffel bag of miscellaneous items.
    BUFFALO’S  — A woman said a strange man grabbed her and tried taking her purse, but fled when she fought back.
    BRAGG’S MOOR SERVICE – A brand new self—propelled lawn mower was stolen.
Bulloch County Sheriff's Incidents
    LEYLAND ROAD – (Statesboro) A man said someone stole a pistol and he suspects a nephew.
    PERSIMMON PATH – (Statesboro) A DVD/TV combo and a TV were reported stolen.
    BROOKLET—DENMARK ROAD – (Brooklet) A man was arrested for stealing road signs after a deputy spotted the suspects in the act of taking a sign. There were several signs in th truck bed. One man had a false identification card as well.
Georgia State Patrol Incidents
    Troopers issued 11 warnings and investigated five crashes with two injuries, as well as assisted one motorist Tuesday.
Georgia Southern University Incidents
    Officers issued two traffic warnings, responded to one alarm, responded to an animal call and investigated one accident Tuesday.
    BRANNEN HALL — Two roommates reported $45 and $85 were taken from their wallets.
    HANNER FIELDHOUSE — A GPS system was taken from a vehicle.

    Central 911 dispatchers issued the following calls Tuesday:
    Bulloch County Sheriff's Department—   14 calls.
    Statesboro Police Department—  24 calls.
    University Police Department – one call.
    Georgia State Patrol –  four calls.
    Candler County Sheriff's Department — three calls.
    Evans County Sheriff's Department –  seven  calls.
    Brooklet Police Department – two  calls.
911 Fire Department Reports
    Central 911 dispatchers issued the following calls Tuesday:
    Statesboro Fire Department – seven calls.
    Bulloch County Volunteer firefighters – two calls.
911 EMS Reports
    Central 911 dispatchers issued the following calls Tuesday:
    Bulloch County EMS – one accident call and 24 medical calls.
    Candler County EMS – three medical calls.
    Evans County EMS – two medical calls.
    Central 911 dispatchers also routed the following calls Tuesday: one call to Bulloch County Humane Enforcement; two calls to the Bulloch County coroner; seven calls to Bulloch County First Responders, a call to Appling County 911  and a call to Bryan County 911.
