A person was airlifted to Savannah Wednesday after a collision on Alford Road. Georgia State Patrol reports were incomplete Thursday, but a partial report filed by GSP Trooper First-Class Carl Hutchinson stated two drivers involved were Christopher Troy Howe and Ashley Diane James. Ages and addresses were unavailable, and incomplete reports did not list which driver was airlifted.
The accident occurred Wednesday evening around 7:30 p.m. and traffic was backed up on Ga. 67 for some time afterward in anticipation of LifeStar helicopter landing nearby. Additional information will be available when reports are completed.
