A strong-arm robbery suspect faces charges after reportedly assaulting another man on Hill Street on Monday.
Roshaud Lavondre Brown, 23, of Packinghouse Road, was arrested Monday after Bulloch County sheriff’s deputies detained him on Northside Drive East after he fled from the Hill Street area, where he is suspected of assaulting the victim and demanding money, said Statesboro police Deputy Chief Rob Bryan.
The victim suffered “minor injuries that did not require medical treatment,” he said.
Statesboro police responded to the Hill Street area around 11:48 a.m., but Brown had already fled the scene. They issued a lookout, providing Brown’s description, and searched the area until deputies apprehended Brown, and Statesboro police took him into custody.
Brown was arrested and transported to the Bulloch County Jail to await further court action, Bryan said.
Anyone with information concerning this case is asked to contact the Statesboro Police Department at (912) 764-9911.
