Efforts by the Statesboro Police Department's Crime Suppression Unit netted an arrest Friday. Dwight Tobias Terrell Cooper, 19, Statesboro, was charged with entering auto after officers involved in the special operation caught him entering a vehicle on Northside Drive East, Statesboro Police Chief Stan York said. The unit focused on entering auto offenses, which are rampant during the holiday season. Cooper was caught in the act around 3:15 Friday as he took a Nintendo Wii game system from a car. Police pursued him during a brief foot chase before apprehending Cooper and recovering the stolen game system. Cooper was charged with entering auto and taken to the Bulloch County Jail.
