Jesus Christ is the true and only reason for the season

Greetings and a very Merry Christmas! I write this letter to all of those men and women who are tired of the political correctness that seems to guide our lives. So, here is my (politically correct) Christmas wishes to each of you.
My we all find that Jesus Christ is the true and only reason for this season, that He is God, that he answers our prayers, and that He brings us a wonderful gift — in addition to His life, death and resurrection — and that is Love. It is through His love that our best and only real chance for “Peace on Earth” exists.
May we each have the wonder and excitement that only Christ can give us. As we attend our churches this season, may each of us have our eyes opened to what is truth and what is really important in our lives. Love is the most powerful and lasting gift that we can receive at any time of year, but let us strive to find this season of love to bring opportunities to us to use our time and talents to help those who need our assistance but are often not comfortable to ask for it. Look for opportunities to help those hurting men and women — I can guarantee that the reward that God gives you for the kindness will far outweigh the gift that you give.
May those who are in positions of power in America realize that it us, the citizens of America (We the People) who they answer to and not the other way around. Each of us need to become proactive and let those in elected office know what we see as the most important. God has given America the most favorable and amazing gift of freedom the world has ever known and we must continuously prune the "tree of freedom" by our choices in the voting booth.
May all of those Americans who feel marginalized and not included in our country and the freedoms that we enjoy stop living outside of the opportunities and embrace all that America offers. Perhaps those who feel that they need a hyphen in their names realize that the hyphen lessens their acceptance within America. Let us do away with “Muslim-Americans, Native-Americans, African-Americans” and instead let us all become “Americans.”
In conclusion, Christmas is not a political football. Almost everyone I know uses the word “Christmas” and not some “politically correct” substitution. If you do not claim Christ as your savior, that is your choice and I support your right to peacefully reject Him. What I do not accept are those who believe that if they do not claim Christ it is their job to try and ruin the rights of others who do claim Him. We live in the most free and accepting nation the world has ever known. I never hear of anyone who is trying to escape America due to the poor treatment they receive. Thousands try each year to get in and enjoy the rights many of us — too often — take for granted. Those university students around the country who have become so thin skinned that anyone not espousing their own views are being banned from campus need to understand what the Constitution and especially the Bill of Rights mean.
