Inside Bulloch Business with DeWayne Grice - Home2 Suites is Boro's latest hotel addition
HiltonHome2 Web

Construction is underway for Statesboro's newest hotel located off the bypass at 1576 Brampton Avenue, behind the Parker's convenience store.
The 96-suite hotel is a nearly $8 million construction investment and will be branded as a Home2 Suites by Hilton. The Home2 is slated to open in early 2018. When open, the hotel will employee about 27 full time workers. The hotel is owned by BPR-Properties, which also owns the 90-room Hampton Inn in the Market District.
BPR-Properties is headquartered in High Point, N.C., and has an administrative office in Savannah where Roy Patel works as the managing partner for the Savannah and Statesboro Properties. BPR owns and operates 14 hotels in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. They are in a heavy growth mode and plan to have 20 total properties by the end of 2017.
"Statesboro has been a very good market for our company," said Sanjeev Deshmukh, director of assets for BPR-Properties. "We have been extremely happy to be in the Statesboro community and have received a lot of support there. The success of the Hampton Inn has allowed us to break ground on this new project."
Home2 Suites is a mid-scale, all-suite extended stay hotel that is designed for travelers staying a few months or a few nights. Each suite includes separate living and bedroom areas featuring the proprietary Home2 Suites "working wall," which incorporates a kitchen and a flexible working/media area.
Each kitchen will have a refrigerator with a freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven, coffee maker and place settings for six. The working/media space will include a queen size sofa/sleeper, flat screen TV and furniture that can be moved to create a customized living space and adjustable storage options.
The Home2 hotel also will have a saline-base pool, patios with grills, outdoor seating areas, 24-hour business center, a pet friendly environment and an integrated guest laundry and exercise space.
Extended Stay research shows guests often seek community and connection after several days. To address this, Home2 Suites features an open lobby area with approximately 4,200 square feet of community space called the "Oasis."
I think the new hotel's proximity to the hospital and Georgia Southern will make it a popular addition to our local hotel inventory. The Hampton has certainly been a great addition to our community and we expect the same from the new Home2 Suites.
