For 28 years, the Bulloch County town of Brooklet has celebrated its rich agricultural heritage by recognizing, promoting and glorifying the mighty goober at the Annual Brooklet Peanut Festival. On Saturday, peanuts that were boiled, parched, roasted, fried and toasted were plentiful at the festival that started with a parade and ended with a street party. Since 1990, the town has celebrated its rich agricultural heritage by holding the festival centered around peanuts.
