Food drop set for today
Final schedule released
W 101016 MATTHEW AFTERMATH 02
Pat Headley of Hilton Head, S.C. counts meals while other volunteers prepare more in the kitchen of Statesboro First United Methodist Church Monday for distribution in Bulloch County as residents continue to cope with the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew. Another massive food drop effort is scheduled for Saturday.
(Note: Changes have been made in the scheduled locations and availability of hot meals.) People in Bulloch County in need of food due to Hurricane Matthew may visit one of the following food drop locations today to accept donations. Since the hurricane caused an emergency situation, normal requirements for qualification for food bank donations are waived. All a person needs is a name, address and phone number, said DeWayne Grice, an organizer of the effort.
