Social media played a part in locating an elderly man missing for three hours Wednesday. He was found safely in Screven County, said Bulloch County sheriff’s Investigator Jared Akins. Robert Alan Thompson, 83, of Bohler-Rimes Road, who has mild Alzheimer’s disease, left his home around 2:20 p.m. in a white 1993 Ford F-150 with a full tank of gas.
