Statesboro Police Incidents
BLAKEWOODS APARTMENTS — A woman said a man struck her in the lip during an argument. The man fled when police arrived.
LOVETT ROAD — Police arrested a woman after watching her drive in the wrong lane, back up and drive into another lane, then into a parking lot. The woman gave a false name - the name of a female reported missing. Police closed the missing person case after obtaining information from the offender, and arrested her on outstanding warrants and current charges.
CITI TRENDS — A woman placed several clothing items in a bag and handed the bag to her cousin, who discovered the stolen clothes and reported the incident to store personnel. They called police, who apprehended the offender after a brief chase. She tried to escape again, but was thwarted and taken to jail.
WAL-MART — A woman said another female harasses her while at work and threatened to beat her up.
STATESBORO HERALD — A man called a reporter, harassing her about not having yet printed a story regarding incidents in which he was involved.
MADISON MEADOWS — A woman said her husband threatened her during a dispute while he held a gun in his hand.
JOHNSON STREET — A woman said a female threatened to beat her regarding a previous incident, and started to come towards her, but was held back by a third party.
Bulloch Sheriff's Incidents
PEAR ORCHARD ROAD — (Statesboro) A young man met with a deputy at the sheriff's office claiming his parents assaulted him. The complainant had visible bruises. When deputies contacted the parents, they explained the son tried leaving the home on a dirt bike they had purchased, and when they tried to stop him, the son punched the father in the head and ribs, possibly breaking ribs. The mother said she slapped the son in an attempt to stop his attack. The father also suffered bruises on his arms, legs and ribs, reports stated.
ASH BRANCH CHURCH ROAD — (Pembroke) A woman said a man exposed himself to her while she waited to meet her daughter.
COCKATOO DRIVE — (Statesboro) A woman said she and her daughter argued over a family mater.
SOUTHEAST BULLOCH HIGH SCHOOL — (Brooklet) A man was arrested in connection with the theft of copper wire, light fixtures and metal siding.
MAGNOLIA CHURCH ROAD — (Statesboro) A woman reported the theft of a green Pontiac Grand Am GT from "Club Tremble."
Georgia State Patrol Incidents
Troopers investigated five crashes with three reported injuries and one fatality Monday.
BULLOCH COUNTY — During the month of June, Georgia State Patrol troopers investigated 78 crashes resulting in 78 injuries and one fatality, said Post 45 Commander Sgt. First-Class Christopher Wright. Troopers also issued 340 citations for traffic offenses, including 16 DUI arrests, 179 speeding tickets, 48 seat belt violations and four child restraint violations. Troopers also issued 446 warnings.
CANDLER COUNTY — During the month of June, Georgia State Patrol troopers investigated 20 crashes resulting in 20 injuries and one fatality, said Post 45 Commander Sgt. First-Class Christopher Wright. Troopers also issued 178 citations for traffic offenses, including 16 DUI arrests, 81 speeding tickets, 17 seat belt violations and one child restraint violation. Troopers also issued 181 warnings.
EVANS COUNTY — During the month of June, Georgia State Patrol troopers investigated five crashes resulting in 10 injuries, said Post 45 Commander Sgt. First-Class Christopher Wright. Troopers also issued 113 citations for traffic offenses, including two DUI arrests, 52 speeding tickets, 26 seat belt violations and four child restraint violations. Troopers also issued 138 warnings.
