 Statesboro Police Arrests          

            Alvin Eugene Mitchell, 18, Turner Street — Improper turn signal, marijuana possession, driving in violation of terms of permit.

                       

Bulloch Sheriff's Arrests           

            Laquanta Cherial Reese, 20, Ga. 24 — bench warrant.

            Bobby Eugene Smith, 51, J. W. Lane, Brooklet — trafficking in methamphetamines, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, marijuana possession.

            Genia Duane Ward, 52, Lee Avenue Extension, Brooklet — trafficking in methamphetamines, marijuana possession with intent to distribute.

            Terry Duane Ward, 35,  Lee Avenue Extension, Brooklet —  methamphetamine possession.

            Ernest Micheall Lipford, 50, Jerrard Avenue, Savannah — methamphetamine possession.

            Connie Jo Roberts, 48, J. W. Lane, Brooklet — trafficking in illegal drugs, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

            Brandon Dewayne NeSmith, 20, West Waters Lane, Clito — no helmet, driving while unlicensed, failure to wear eye protection.

            Abez Garcia, 35, U.S. 80 West — public intoxication.

                       

Georgia State Patrol Arrests

            Mark Lyons, 53, Five Chop Road. Clito — DUI (.097).

            Stephen Greenhaw, 39, East Fourth Avenue, Stillmore — DUI (.126).

            Coy Durden, 50, Cobbtown — DUI (.098).

            Troopers issued 52 citations for traffic violations.

                                     

Georgia Southern University Arrests

            Martwan Jacques King, 21, Charlton Road, Rincon — driving with a suspended license.

            Officers issued one traffic citation Friday.

            Officers issued three traffic citations Saturday.

             

Statesboro Police Incidents      

            MIKE ANN DRIVE — A woman said she heard a loud noise and discovered someone destroyed her mail box.

            UNIVERSITY POINTE APARTMENTS — Officers and detectives met with an 18-year-old female who said she was raped by an unknown man.

            DELOACH STREET —  A woman said her brother slapped her in the face and fled on foot.

            GARDEN DISTRICT — A man reported a computer stolen and named a suspect who had lived in the apartment for a short while- and left around the same  time the computer did.

            POUND DRIVE — A man reported the theft of a utility trailer.

            HOLY ZION HOLINESS CHURCH — (Solomon Circle) A man reported the theft of a microphone stand and speakers.

            EAST GRADY STREET — A man said someone broke into his car and took a stereo and 50 CDs.

            SANDY HILL APARTMENTS — A woman said her ex-boyfriend called her four times after being asked not to do so.

            MIKELL STREET — A man told police another man threatened to shoot him because the complainant called the dog catcher on his dogs.

            In a separate incident, a man and woman argued because he was moving out and she did not pack his belongings fast enough.

            GATE STATION —  (South Main Street) A group of juveniles entered the store and acted suspiciously as if they were shoplifting. The clerk said she believed one of the kids did take items without paying.

            CAMPUS COURTYARD APARTMENTS — Police are investigating reports of two purse-snatching incidents.

                       

Bulloch Sheriff's Incidents        

            PRETORIA-RUSHING ROAD — (Statesboro) A man said another male struck him with an open hand in the head during an argument about a female, who witnessed the incident. Deputies stated all parties were highly intoxicated, and that the complainant asked the witness and offender to leave his home.

            BROOKLET-LEEFIELD ROAD — (Brooklet) A woman said while she was gone, her husband destroyed property in the home, ripping up her kids' pictures, dumping her clothes and breaking dishes and "whatnots." The man admitted breaking dishes that belonged to him   .

            JESSICA LANE — (Statesboro) Juveniles reported a man trying to get into the residence and called for help. The intruder was arrested.              

                                                                                                           

Georgia State Patrol Incidents  

            Troopers issued 73 warnings, assisted five motorists, made one emergency relay of blood or medical supplies, and investigated two crashes with one reported injury.

                       

Georgia Southern University Incidents

            EAGLE VILLAGE — Someone reported the theft of a motorcycle .

            FRIDAY — Officers investigated two traffic accidents, assisted three motorists and two sick person, and responded to one alarm.

            SATURDAY — Officers assisted three motorists.

            SUNDAY —  Officers issued four traffic warnings, assisted one motorist and responded to two alarms.

            RUSSELL UNION — A laptop computer was taken from a vehicle in the parking lot.

            Central 911 operators dispatched the following calls Sunday:

            Bulloch County Sheriff's Department — 10 calls.

            Statesboro Police Department — 13 calls.

            University Police Department — one call.

            Georgia State Patrol Post 45 — three  calls.

            Candler County Sheriff's Department — 11 calls.

            Evans County Sheriff's Department — one call.

            Claxton Police Department — one  call.

           

911 Fire Department Reports

            Central 911 operators dispatched the following calls Sunday:

            Statesboro Fire Department — three calls.

            Bulloch County volunteer firefighters — one  call.

            Metter Fire Department — one call.

                       

911 EMS Reports

            Central 911 operators dispatched the following call Sunday:

            Bulloch County EMS — one rescue call and 11 medical calls.  

            Candler County EMS — one medical call. 

            Evans County EMS — three medical calls.   

            Central 911 operators also routed two calls to  Screven County 911, a call to Emanuel County 911, a call to Wayne County 911 and a call to the Georgia Forestry Commission.
