    Statesboro City Council will meet today for the second and final scheduled meeting in May.
    Councilmen, Mayor Joe Brannen, and City Manager Frank Parker will convene in City Hall’s second floor chambers at 6 p.m. for the routine meeting.
    Headlining a relatively short list of items for consideration will be a motion to award Tyson Utilities Construction an approximately $1.24 million contract to extend Statesboro’s water and sewer services to undeveloped areas southeast of the city.
    Tyson Utilities submitted the lowest pricing bid for the project.
    Other items to be decided include:
    A zoning amendment to rezone property at 520 Park Ave. as High Density Residential — to allow for multi-family housing;
    A $25,170 contract to add on to an existing building at the city’s Wastewater Treatment Plant; and
    A motion to set a public hearing at 4 p.m. June 12 for the city’s 2013 budget.
    Council will also enter into an executive session to discuss personnel matters.
