If you are going to build an office building for your sign company, what better place than fronting the Statesboro Bypass next to the access road parallel to Lowes.
The traffic count there is tremendous, and it is a very visible site from the road. It just screams "look at me", and is the future home of Whitfield Signs.
Owner Josh Whitfield said he is very excited about his new building, because it will allow him to display the type of signage his company is capable of producing.
"We are going to have examples of different types of lighted commercial signage on the building, and I think it is going to look really, really neat," he said. "We plan to move to our new location right after Thanksgiving."
Whitfield opened his company a year and a half ago, and said it has been growing at a steady pace ever since.
"We can produce anything from banners, to real estate signs, commercial signage, LED signs, and ADA signage," he said. "Anything inside or outside, we are able to do it."
The Bulloch Academy and University of Georgia graduate said he spent seven years in Atlanta working for a marketing company specializing in the "branding" of banks and large corporations.
"I traveled around the country during that time," Whitfield said. "My wife and I are from Statesboro, and we decided this is where we wanted to raise our family. I decided to use my marketing experience in creating signage that presents a cohesive marketing scheme."
Whitfield said, for instance, if a company doesn't like its logo, he has a creative team that can redesign the logo, and then place it throughout their property from their trucks and buildings, to signage inside, as well as web development.
"Our designers produce excellent work ," he said. "We have six employees right now, and will add some additional when we make the move. I encourage people to go to our website to see what we are able to produce. And certainly, we encourage everyone to come see us in our new location."
