Trish Tootle recently celebrated her 25th anniversary working with Farmers and Merchants Bank.
Tootle started her career with FMB, the oldest local bank in Bulloch County, in 1987 and it can be said that she knows the bank better than just about any one. Throughout the past 25 years, she has held a variety of banking positions including: teller, bookkeeper, proof operator, customer service representative, loan secretary, human resources and marketing and public relations. Her current position at FMB is vice president and retail banking manager.
"I've come to realize that Trish is the face of our bank," said Brett Morgan, the newly appointed president and CEO of the bank. " I can't imagine FMB without her."
Trish is very active in the community. She currently serves on the boards of the Statesboro-Bulloch County Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club of Statesboro, and, Ogeechee Area Hospice. In addition, she is the vacation Bible school director for the Ogeechee Baptist Association and is the director of Children's Church and Vacation Bible School for Emit Grove Baptist Church.
"What you first notice about Trish is her irresistible charm and indomitable spirit," said Tim Huffingham, her pastor at Emit Grove Baptist Church. "But her most admirable qualities are her deep convictions and unshakable faith."
Her past involvement included serving on the boards of the United Way, Red Cross, American Diabetes Association, Heart Association and Hearts and Hands Clinic. She was membership chair for the Averitt Center Friends of the Arts, served on the American Cancer Society Relay for Life committee, and the American Business Women's Association.
She is a 2009 graduate of Leadership Bulloch. Trish was honored with the Deen Day Smith award in 2003 and the Chamber of Commerce Libba Smith Award, also in 2003.
Trish was married to David Tootle for 36 years prior to his death in 2010. Her family includes son Matt, his wife Talette and her grandson Athan, son Clint and parents Henry and Joyce Eason of Claxton.
