Beth P. Mathews, vice president for Institutional Advancement at Ogeechee Technical College, was recently a presenter at the 43rd Annual Conference of the Council for Resource Development in Washington, D.C.
Mathews' topic was entitled Revitalize your Annual Campaign with a Volunteer Blitz! The session was designed to help attendees learn how to plan, organize, and execute a one to three day annual campaign blitz using community volunteers.
"It was a great opportunity to present with many of my peers from around the country, and to tell them about the great support and success we have with fundraising here at Ogeechee Tech," Mathews said.
As vice president for Institution al Advance-ment and executive director of the Ogeechee Tech Foundation, Inc., Mathews annually coordinates the College's iGot (I Gave to Ogeechee Tech) campaign. Prior to her work at Ogeechee Tech, Mathews was involved with fundraising with the Georgia Southern University Foundation.
While at the conference, Mathews was able to visit other presentations to learn more about ways to operate a non-profit foundation during difficult economic times.
