James M. Anderson and Associates, a Statesboro surveying company announced that Matt Anderson is returning to Statesboro to join the family business.
Anderson graduated Aug. 2, 2008 from Southern Polytechnic State University with a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Technology. He was a member of the "Runnin Hornets" baseball team while he attended SPSU. Anderson is a 2003 graduate of Statesboro High School.
Jim Anderson, Matt's father, and president of the company is excited to have Matt return to work with the company.
Jim Anderson said "Finding young men interested in learning the challenging profession of surveying is hard. Most of the surveyors in the country are graying like me. You almost have to grow your own replacement. Matt has been working with us during summer breaks throughout his college days, and is well on his way to becoming a professional surveyor".
Matt Anderson has already passed the land surveyor in training exam, a state requirement to become a  registered land surveyor.
He will now have to serve a four-year intern period before becoming eligible to take the registered land surveyor exam.
