Elliott Marsh has been named grand prize winner in the Next Generation of Ag category for the Ag Connect 2011 Expo.

Marsh is the Agribusiness program coordinator and instructor at Ogeechee Technical College. He is also the first president of the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences East Georgia Alumni Chapter, a member of the Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber of Commerce, serving as 2010 co-chair on the Agribusiness Committee, member of the Kiwanis Club of Statesboro, an ex-officio member on the Board of Directors of Bulloch County Farm Bureau, a graduate of the Georgia Agri-Leaders Forum Foundation, where he was honored with the Ron Hart Memorial Leadership Award, and a graduate of Leadership Bulloch. He is a 2008 recipient of the Young Alumni Achievement Award and the J.W. Fanning Distinguished Young Professional Award presented by the Agricultural Economics Association of Georgia, and in 2009 was named to the annual Savannah Business Report and Journal 40 Under 40 List.

After competing against a number of other entrants, Marsh garnered the most votes with an online video outlining his participation in agribusiness related initiatives. He will be a guest at the 2011 Ag Connect Expo in Atlanta.

Marsh said, "This was a great way to let people know about our Agribusiness program here at Ogeechee Tech. Many people outside our immediate area were able to watch my video, and learn about the unique program we offer here at OTC. In addition, by attending Ag Connect 2011, I will learn cutting edge information which I can bring back to my students."
