Sports Destination Management has named The Clubhouse in Statesboro one of the most outstanding venues in the United States.

The national publication, which provides sports event planning and location strategies for groups across the country, recognized The Clubhouse for its ability to host a multitude of events, including sporting events, parties and small conferences.

"We're beyond thrilled to be in such great company as the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters & Training Facility, Elizabethtown Sports Park, Fawcett Stadium and Pro Football Hall of Fame, and Rocky Top Sports World. This is a game changer for The Clubhouse," said Darin Van Tassell, owner of The Clubhouse.

Sports Destination Management is a primary resource for sports event planning needed to build an event from the ground up. From amateur to Olympic and professional events, the publication features a wide variety of facilities significant to the sports planning industry.

It compiled the list with the intention of offering a collection of venues that not only offer the space and tools needed, but also exceed expectations with friendly, knowledgeable staffs.

The Clubhouse was one of only two Georgia venues to be featured and was praised for its capability to offer its guests a large variety of activities.

"We're constantly pushing ourselves to remain the best entertainment facility possible," Van Tassell said. "This year, we expanded and remodeled our restaurant and bar, Spikes Sports Grill, built the Coca-Cola 125 Raceway with the most cutting edge go-carts in the industry, and now have added two regulation soccer fields. Having Sports Destination recognize those efforts and name us as one of the most outstanding venues in the country is incredibly rewarding. Our event capabilities are vast, and we are really looking forward to playing host for all types of occasions."
