Blimp passes over Statesboro Wednesday during 3,000 mile journey
BLIMP -1
It wasn't a bird, plane nor even Superman flying over Statesboro Wednesday morning. But if you looked up in the sky about 10:45 a.m., you would have seen the AVICTA Complete Cotton Blimp floating over the Boro and Bulloch County as part of its blimp tour of the Cotton Belt. The tour began Feb. 29 at the Mid-South Farm & Gin Show in Memphis, Tenn. The 128-foot blimp will travel more than 3,000 miles over 10 states until the end of May.
