A witness called the law Christmas morning when he saw two men trying to break into a Clito area convenience store.
Bulloch County Sheriff’s deputies responded and quickly located the intoxicated offenders, said Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson.
The witness saw Lario Carrillo, 38, and Domingo Marcos, 35, both of Chances Mobile Home Park, trying to break into Jay’s Food Mart on Kyle Sorrell Road around 8 a.m., he said.
Deputies responding to the scene found both men walking near Eagle Villas mobile home park. Both men smelled of alcohol and had “glossy eyes,” according to sheriff’s incident reports.
No damage was done to the store’s doors, where the men had been trying to enter, Anderson said. Both Carrillo and Marcos were charged with loitering and prowling as well as public intoxication. They were each taken to the Bulloch County Jail, where they later posted bond.
