Georgia Republican Party District 12 Chairman Mike Welsh on Monday announced a series of debates for Republican candidates in Georgia's 12th Congressional District.

The first one is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. March 31 at Ogeechee Technical College. The others are as follows:

— Tuesday, April 8 — Laurens County (Dublin High School) — 6 p.m.
— Thursday, April 24 — Richmond County (location TBA) — 6 p.m.
— Thursday, May 1 — Coffee County (location TBA) — 6 p.m.

The District 12 Debate Series will provide voters throughout the region an opportunity to learn more about the candidates seeking the Republican nomination on May 20. With five announced candidates, a runoff, which appears likely, would be held July 22.
