Ms. Mary Ann Robertson of Statesboro, Georgia, and Mr. Ron Robertson of Summerville, Florida, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Taylor Lane Robertson of Statesboro, to Michael Hunter Clanton of Statesboro, son of Ms. Anna McGarity and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Clanton, all of Statesboro.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jones Lane of Statesboro and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Forrest Robertson of The Villages, Florida; and Mrs. Irma V. Robertson of McDonough, Georgia. Taylor graduated from Statesboro High School in 2011. She is a graduate of Ogeechee Technical College as a certified medical assistant. She is presently attending Ogeechee Technical College in pursuit of a degree in business management. She is employed by Family Internal Medical.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Seaborn McGarity of Augusta, Georgia; and Mr. and Mrs. John Clanton of Midway, Georgia; and the late Barbara Clanton of Pooler, Georgia. Hunter graduated from Charter Conservatory in 2011. He is a graduate of Ogeechee Technical College Police Academy. He is employed by Georgia Southern University as a police officer.
The couple has planned to wed on April 22, 2017, in St. Simons Island, Georgia, at a ceremony to be attended by close family.
