Mr. and Mrs. David Reid of Statesboro are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashlin Reid of Columbia, S.C., to Jeffrey Baisch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Baisch and Ms. Rhonda Knight of Marietta, Ga.

Ashlin is the granddaughter of Mrs. Glennis Bland and the late Mr. Mike Bland and Mrs. Betty Reid and the late Mr. J.O. Reid, all of Statesboro. She is an honor graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School and a cum laude graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry. She is employed as a wilderness counselor at John de la Howe School in McCormick, S.C.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Edith Rife and the late Mr. Richard Rife of Dallas, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Baisch of Ocalla, Fla. Jeff graduated from Harrison High School in 2008 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in modern languages and master's degrees in both Spanish and second language acquisition from Georgia Southern University. He is employed as an eighth-grade Spanish immersion teacher with Lexington School District One in South Carolina.

The couple has planned to wed on September 3, 2016, at 5 o'clock in the evening at Table Rock State Park in Pickens, S.C.
